Pop-up museum in Lewisham
Dates: February – June 2017
In 2017 Travellers’ Tails went beyond the museum setting and took over a retail unit in Lewisham Shopping Centre, London. Artists in residence Cracked Light Arts: Victoria Briggs, Simon Watt and Dan Rollins worked with the public on the theme of exploration. Adults and children had the opportunity to take part in drawing and writing activities and share their thoughts, knowledge and perspectives about what exploration meant for them.
On the 5th and 6th August 2017 the artists and participants presented the creative work they had produced in the Pop-up Museum during a takeover weekend in the Queen’s House at Royal Museums Greenwich. Participants and volunteers experiences are included on the Travellers’ Tails Blog
